Religious Studies
Religious Studies is a discipline that is inherently interdisciplinary and intercultural. The Religious Studies courses provide students with an opportunity to explore the distinctive institutions, beliefs, rituals, myths, sacred writings, and ethics of many of our world’s diverse religions, cultures and civilizations. The Religious Studies course offerings include an introductory survey course that allows students to explore the wide range of beliefs, spiritual practices and sacred writings of our world’s religions. Additionally, students can take courses in The Bible, Islam and Women’s Spirituality as part of the Religious studies curriculum. The courses offered in Religious Studies invite students to develop a deeper appreciation of the ways in which humanity has understood the sacred, our world and our place within it. Religous studies courses can be taken in any order and satisfy the same GE requirements.
