Welcome to the Basic Needs Department
At Las Positas College!

At the Basic Needs Department, we believe that student success and retention starts with basic needs. We seek to normalize access to nutrition food by distributing free groceries on campus, we provide safe spaces to navigate campus and community resources through resource navigation services, and we distribute tangible support to students impacted by homelessness and food insecurity through our Housing Justice Scholars and Food Justice Scholars programs.
