Welcome to the Basic Needs Department At Las Positas College!
At the Basic Needs Department, we believe that student success and retention start
with basic needs. We seek to normalize access to nutritious food by distributing free
groceries on campus. We also provide safe spaces to navigate campus and community
resources through our resource navigation services. Additionally, we offer tangible
support to students impacted by homelessness and food insecurity through our Housing
Justice Scholars and Food Justice Scholars programs. We invite you to explore our
