Chamber Choir - MUS 45
Chamber Choir is a traditional choral ensemble at Las Positas College. This group performs both on and off campus, including festival and touring opportunities. Styles of music range from classic major works to modern contemporary compositions. Emphasis on development of vocal ensemble concepts, improvements in vocal technique and musicianship, and effective performance practices.
Meeting times: Tue/Thu - 1:00 - 3:10pm

Vocal Jazz Ensemble - MUS 46
“BayBop” is the vocal jazz ensemble at Las Positas College. A modern-day cross between choir and jazz band, this group explores repertoire from all types of music, including jazz, R&B, pop, rock, funk, and anything in between. The group travels to vocal jazz festivals regularly and performs both on and off campus. Emphasis on jazz vocal style, development of musicianship, understanding of music technology, and effective performance practices.
