Outside Scholarships for LPC Students
Purpose: This scholarship recognizes high-achieving students in each state, naming them a New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar. Scholars are selected from the highest All-USA Academic Team application score in their state and indicate an intent to transfer to a four-year college after graduation. Scholars receive recognition at the American Association of Community Colleges Convention.
The New Century Pathway Scholarship program is sponsored by The Coca-Cola Foundation, The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, the American Association of Community Colleges, and Phi Theta Kappa.
Awards: Up to $2,750
Eligibility:
- Be currently enrolled in 6 or more semester credits of associate degree, college-level coursework through December.
- Completed 36 or more semester credits by December.
- 3.50 or higher GPA on coursework completed in the last 5 years.
- Enroll in a four-year college the following fall semester.
- Not have previously been nominated for the All-USA or Coca-Cola Academic Teams.
- Academic record free from suspension, probation, or other disciplinary actions.

Students who wish to be considered during the upcoming All-USA review should complete or update their application by Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
Purpose: The AMSA Pre-Med Transfer Scholarship is designed to help Phi Theta Kappa members achieve their career goals in medicine.
PTK and AMSA share missions to develop student leaders and promote self-efficacy. AMSA bolsters medical education in ways that support professional and personal growth.
Award: Up to $5,000
Eligibility:
- Be currently enrolled in 6 or more semester credits of associate degree, college-level coursework through 12/31.
- Completed 45 or more semester credits by 12/31.
- 3.50 or higher GPA on coursework completed in the last 5 years.
- Enrolled in pre-med (or related) program at the two-year college.
- Plan to transfer to a regionally accredited four-year college and attend full-time.
- Intend to enroll in medical school.
- PTK member in good standing.
- Academic record free from suspension, probation, or other disciplinary actions.
- Hold temporary or permanent residency in the country of the college the student attends or possess a visa considered appropriate by the college. Find details here.
