Public Transportation to Las Positas College

Las Positas College is easily accessible via public transportation:

WHEELS AND RAPID BUS – Wheels and Rapid are bus services of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), which provides public transportation for the Tri-Valley communities of Dublin, Livermore and Pleasanton, California. Las Positas College students upon paying the transportation fee may ride the Wheels and Rapid routes without having to pay the bus fare. Students are only charged the transportation fee for fall and spring semesters only; students are not assessed the transportation fee during the summer term.

Rapid route 30R directly serves the LPC campus in front of the Student Services and Administration Building every 15 minutes from both directions on weekdays. From the west, the route serves both Dublin/Pleasanton BART Stations and travels along Dublin Boulevard and I-580 to campus. Route 30R schedules are timed to meet BART arrivals and departures. From the east, Route 30R operates on Railroad Avenue adjacent to the Livermore Transit Center and connects with Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains there.

BART - Bay Area Rapid Transit – serves the entire San Francisco Bay Area with frequent rail service. The closest station to campus is the East Dublin/Pleasanton Station. Transfer there to the Rapid Route 30R headed eastbound, with a “30R East Avenue” destination sign. Buses run every 15 minutes.

ACE – Altamont Corridor Express – operates rail service between Stockton and San Jose. The closest station to campus is the downtown Livermore Transit Center. Transfer there to the Route 30R headed westbound, with a “30R W Dublin BART” destination sign. Buses run every 15 minutes. Las Positas students get a 50% discount on monthly passes and 20-ride tickets for ACE Rail by presenting a student ID at the Livermore Transit Center Sales Outlet.
