College Planning Priorities
Based on the work of the Institutional Planning and Effectiveness Committee and adopted by the College President, College Planning Priorities provide guidance about key issues that need to be addressed by the campus community.
2024-25 College Planning Priorities
- Equity: Establish a knowledge base and an appreciation for equity; create a sense of urgency about moving toward equity; institutionalize equity in decision-making, assessment, and accountability; and build capacity to resolve inequities.
- Student Success & Completion: Increase student success and completion through change in college practices and processes: coordinating needed academic support, removing barriers, and supporting focused professional development across the campus.
- Health and Wellness: Establish a knowledge base and an appreciation for health and wellness in the workplace; create a sense of urgency about wellness in decision-making, assessment, and accountability; and build capacity to support wellness.
2023-24 College Planning Priorities

- Increase student success and completion through change in college practices and processes: coordinating needed academic support, removing barriers, and supporting focused professional development across the campus.
- Coordinate resources and provide professional development for effective online instruction and remote delivery of student support services and college processes to advance equitable student outcomes.
2019-20 College Planning Priorities

- Professional Development: Coordinate available resources to address current and future professional development needs of faculty, classified professionals, and administrators in support of educational master plan goals

- Tutoring Services: Expand tutoring services to meet demand and support student success in Basic Skills, CTE, and Transfer courses
- Professional Development: Coordinate available resources to address current and future professional development needs of faculty, classified professionals, and administrators in support of educational master plan goals
2015-16 and 2016-17 College Planning Priorities
- Establish regular and ongoing processes to implement best practices to meet ACCJC standards.
- Provide necessary institutional support for curriculum development and maintenance.
- Develop processes to facilitate ongoing meaningful assessment of SLOs/SAOs and integrate assessment of SLOs/SAOs into college processes.
- Expand tutoring services to meet demand and support student success in Basic Skills, CTE, and Transfer courses
Defining and Addressing 2015-16 and 2016-17 College Planning Priorities
In Spring 2015, based on survey results, the Integrated Planning Committee decided to better define planning priorities and address key steps that could be taken to address each planning priority. Moreover, the Integrated Planning Committee consulted with stakeholders in determining how planning priorities should be defined and the steps needed to address them. In addition, based on the recommendation of the Integrated Planning Committee, executive team members are assigned to coordinate each planning priority to ensure that they are being addressed adequately.

Graduated College Planning Priorities
Graduated College Planning Priorities are priorities that have been determined by the Institutional Planning and Effectiveness Committee to have "graduated" to a sustainable college process. The following College Planning Priorities have graduated:
- Coordinate resources and provide professional development for effective online instruction and remote delivery of student support services and college processes to advance equitable student outcomes. (Spring 2021)
