Canvas Login Instructions

1. Go to the Canvas login page.
2. For Username, enter your W number.
3. For Password, enter the first two letters of your first name, followed by the first two letters of your last name (all lowercase), followed by the last four digits of your W number.
   • Example: Maria Valdez with a W number of W98765432 would enter password mava5432.
4. Once logged in, change your default password.

Tips:

• Your Canvas credentials are typically created a few weeks before the first semester you registered for classes.
• If you happen to forget or misplace your W number, please contact the Student HelpZone for support:

• Your Canvas Dashboard will display a course shell for all online courses you've registered for on the first day of the semester. Most on campus instructors also use Canvas.
• If you don't see one of your courses on the first day of the semester, please reach out to your instructor.
• If you add a course during late registration, you may experience up to a 1-day delay from the time you register for the course in MyPortal to the time the course displays on your Canvas Dashboard.
