Monday, April 15th
BIKE TO SCHOOL WEEK KICKOFF
We will be meeting @ 8am at Livermorium Plaza Downtown daily for a group ride to LPC. Decrease your carbon footprint by pledging to bike to Las Positas for one day or for the whole week! Sign the pledge here, and we will put your name on the Las Positas Goes Green webpage as a Climate Champion!
GET YOUR FREE RAPID/WHEELS BUS PASS
Any student, faculty, or staff member at Las Positas College is able to ride the Rapid and Wheels buses for FREE at any time with an LPC ID. To obtain your LPC ID with your photo, visit the Admissions and Records Office located in Building 1600 on the 2nd floor.
Tuesday, April 16th
CaMPUS TREE MEASURING EVENT
Trees help stop climate change by storing carbon from the atmosphere. By measuring the circumference of tree trunks, we can determine how much carbon is being stored by the trees on the Las Positas campus. All materials and training will be provided! Bring comfortable shoes, as we will be walking throughout campus.
Time: 9am to 12pm

Climate solutions fair
Join us for the third annual Las Positas Climate Solutions Fair! There has never been
a more crucial time to talk about climate change and our collective impact. Come learn
about solutions to the climate crisis through interactive presentations given by Las
Positas professors, student clubs, and voices from the greater community.
Time: 11am to 2pm
Location: Las Positas Promenade, Between Bulding 1000/Mertes Center
Facilitators: Tri Valley Air Quality and Climate Alliance, Horticulture Club, Las Las Positas Climate Action Faculty, Psychology Club, Anthropology Club.

tour of Lpc's new horticulture center
Come get a tour of the new state of the art horticulture building on campus! The new facility includes a classroom, greenhouse, shade structure, growing grounds and an orchard area.

Living Arroyos Cleanup Day with Dublin Pride
Volunteer with Living Arroyos for a cleanup at Tassajara creek from 8am to 12pm, sign up.
