Adopt A Family

California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) is a public assistance program providing financial support for low-income parents and their children.

Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) was established to help EOPS students who are single parents, receiving cash-aid from CalWORKs or Tribal TANF.

What is Adopt A Family?

Our CalWORKs & CARE families find that the added financial burden of the holiday season can be difficult. Our annual Adopt A Family program provides an opportunity to help alleviate some of the financial stressors our students experience.

The campus and community have continuously cared for our students through their generous giving and have contributed to a sense of community that our CalWORKs & CARE students repeatedly share with us as being a source of hope and joy for them and their children.

We are thankful each year, for the joy our community brings to our families and we invite you to join in this special event.
