High School Articulation
Student Instructions
Some of the courses you have taken at your High School or through Regional Occupations Program may be eligible for either noncredit or credit articulation at Las Positas College. Eligible courses have been articulated with each High School/ROP and LPC on a course by course basis and are posted on the LPC website. Articulated LPC Courses.
If you have identified an articulated course for your school/ROP, you may apply for recognition of the articulated courses and perform the following steps:
- Enroll Online at Las Positas College to obtain your student identification number (W#) between the dates of September 15th and December 31st of each academic year. You must have a W# in order to apply for recognized credit and move to the next step. IMPORTANT: You must select the Spring Academic semester when applying through CCCApply. The deadline to apply for the Spring Academic semester is December 31st. If you are unable to enroll online, you will need to visit the Admissions & Records Department at the LPC campus. You must have your photo i.d. present and a completed application.
- Register on LPC's web-based application (CATEMA) between the dates of October 10th and December 31st. The deadline to register in CATEMA is December 31st. CATEMA is an online portal that permists college and secondary teachers and staff to manage articulation credit. This is the only way that you will be able to obtain credit from LPC. The college will no longer accept paper applications for college credit. Reference the Student Quick Start Guide (pdf) if you need assistance, or speak with your High School or ROP counselor/instructor.
- Your teacher will match your registration with your high school classes and college courses, and enter your credit and award your grade. Teachers will perform this action by June 15th of each academic year.
- LPC will transcribe credits by July 15th of academic each year for the previous year of articulated coursework. To confirm
your college credit, log into ClassWeb with your W# and Pin. For official college transcripts, visit LPC's Admissions Office Transcript Request page.
