March is Women's History Month. Women veterans (either you, a family member - sister, mom, aunt, or a friend who wore a uniform) have made significant contributions to our country, often facing unique challenges and demonstrating incredible resilience. We are excited to recognize women who served in the military, their bravery and sacrifice, along with celebrating their achievements. To date, women currently make up approximately 10% of the overall veteran population. Even smaller numbers at the community college (less than 1%).

On March 27, 2025, we are honored to have Jennifer Vollbrecht, a United States Marine Corps veteran, share her firsthand experiences of serving in the armed forces. Serving from 2004-2009 as a Helicopter Crew Chief and Door Gunner (CH-46E), Jennifer's story is a testament to the strength and dedication of military women. She is a leader and role model for all women.

Free children's book for the women veterans who register by March 20, 2025.

This event will also include a gift basket giveaway fundraiser, a presentation of scholarships and a quilt of valors to women combat veterans. Tickets may be purchased in advance.
